Project brief
The complex brief was to provide a facility for children with complex needs, and a cluster of buildings around a central landscaped courtyard on varied levels was felt to be the most appropriate response.

Design details
A partnership project between Conwy County Borough Council, Denbighshire County Council and Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board (BCUHB), it aims to increase access to support for children in North Wales with complex needs and their families. A series of interlinked standalone buildings finished using an organically selected palette of materials creates a feel of a welcoming, homely feeling for the residents, hopefully creating a comfortable environment in which the children and their families can relax.
