Project brief
This replacement dwelling in a countryside location needed to fit the requirements of a busy young family, with the design needing to be functional, welcoming and mindful of its surroundings.

Design details
Aiming to not be too far removed from the mass and positioning of the existing dwelling, we took opportunities to maximise the views out onto the countryside setting from key spaces such as the snug and kitchen/dining room whilst ensuring that the practical, more functional elements be grouped together. The functions of specific rooms can therefore be read from the elevational treatment, this being an interesting exploration of the family dwelling.

It was a pleasure to welcome Aeddan Berry to our company this week, after moving home to the North after working in Cardiff for a few years.
